STD TATA rings for gasoline engine 168F, 68.00 mm - elements of the engine piston group that ensure the tightness of the combustion chamber. The kit is designed for installation on a standard piston with a diameter of 68mm. Design and purpose The set consists of five rings: • First compression - made of alloy steel, has a special coating on the side surface. • Second compression - made of uncoated gray cast iron. • Thin oil scraper serves to clean the cylinder walls from excess oil. • Ring-separator - a steel spring that creates a gap between the oil scraper rings. • The second thin oil scraper is a steel element that works in tandem with the first oil scraper ring. The quality and wear of piston rings directly affects the performance of the power unit. A decrease in compression, a drop in power, the appearance of smoke in the exhaust gases may indicate the need to replace a set of rings.
