Description
Oil level sensor internal TATA for gasoline engine 168F/170F is installed inside the crankcase of the power unit. Designed to protect the motor from oil starvation. Features and applications It is a float mechanism equipped with copper contacts. When the oil level in the crankcase drops below the set level, the float closes the contacts and interrupts sparking in the combustion chamber. This causes the engine to stop. A malfunction of the level sensor can cause failure of the power unit due to insufficient lubrication of parts and their increased wear. Often, a low oil level leads to random triggers of the sensor, especially when tilting and vibrating the power unit. In such cases, it is necessary to add oil to the upper mark on the dipstick.
